Russell Williams: Raped, imprisoned and murdered women in Canada:

Wikipedia: David Russell Williams^[2] (born March 7, 1963) is a convicted murderer, rapist, and former Colonel in theCanadian Forces. From July 2009 to his arrest in February 2010, he commanded Canadian Forces Base Trenton, a hub for air transport operations in Canada and abroad and the country's largest and busiest airbase. Williams was also a decorated military pilot who had flown Canadian Forces VIP aircraft for Canadian dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the governor general, the prime minister, and others.^[3]

On February 8, 2010, he was relieved as the base commander at CFB Trenton due to criminal charges. He was formally charged by the Crown Attorney pursuant to provisions set forth in the Criminal Code of Canada on evidence collected by the Ontario Provincial Police with two counts of first-degree murder along with two counts offorcible confinement and two counts of breaking and entering and sexual assault;^[4] another 82 charges relating to breaking and entry were subsequently added.^[5] On October 21, 2010, Williams was sentenced to two life sentences for first-degree murder, two 10-year sentences for other sexual assaults, two 10-year sentences for forcible confinement and 82 one-year sentences for burglary; all the sentences will be served concurrently at Kingston Penitentiary.

Amazon.com: "Appointment with Danger" begins like a typical post-war propaganda film in the guise of a thriller. A voiceover narration sings the praises of a law enforcement agency. In this case, we learn how big and efficient the US Postal Service is thanks to the dedication of "a great army of men and women". We're introduced to "the nation's oldest police force": postal inspectors. Then we're whisked to Gary, Indiana where a postal inspector by the name of Henry Gruber has been murdered. The introduction would lead the audience to believe this is going to be a police procedural, but it's not. It sticks to narrative mode for the rest of the film. Another postal inspector, Al Goddard (Alan Ladd), has been sent to track down the nun, Sister Augustine (Phyllis Calvert), who saw Gruber's killers. Goddard is a hardened, cynical man who goes undercover to catch the murderers as they heist a mail truck carrying $1 million.

It's classified as "film noir", but "Appointment with Danger" is only superficially so. Al Goddard has lots of great, hardboiled lines. He doesn't get on well with people and trusts no one. "One way or another, everybody you meet is a pitch artist," he says. There are a couple of brutal scenes. And Goddard's ability to make the suspects think he's even more crooked than they are introduces an aspect of identity confusion. But Goddard is never confused or conflicted. "Appointment with Danger" doesn't take place in the noir universe. Nevertheless, Goddard's hard-boiled persona is a lot of fun, as is the film's conspicuous attempt to cast Ladd as a tough-guy sex symbol -love the shirtless squash game between Goddard and violent conspirator Joe Regas (Jack Webb). Regas' persistent paranoia about the nun is a disaster waiting to happen.

Sister Augustine, who thinks Goddard could be a nice man with a little practice, is too angelic in contrast to the cynical cop and cold-blooded criminals. Earl Boettiger (Paul Stewart), a hotelier who masterminds the heist seems almost too level-headed for the part. Between him, the too-precious nun, and Goddard's aloofness, the film has a flat tone that keeps it just shy of completely engaging the audience. Earl's mistress Dodie (Jan Sterling) is a counterpoint to that tone. She's not in many scenes, but she produces a terrific combination of vulnerability, resignation, and realpolitik when she confronts Goddard. "Appointment with Danger" could have been better if it had been willing to explore its character's bizarre behavior a little more, but it's still entertaining. The print on the Olive Films 2010 DVD is pretty good but no bonus features or subtitles.

TORONTO - Toronto police are investigating a shocking Internet video in which a pregnant woman is savagely beaten by three girls on one of the city’s busiest streets.

The beating appears to take place at night outside a 24-hour Burger King restaurant on the east side of Yonge St., south of Dundas St W. Harsh words are exchanged between what appears to be a Native woman possibly in her early 30s and three younger women – one Caucasian and two black.

There are also several others watching – friends of the girls, including at least two males and someone recording the altercation.

The video surfaced Sunday on the website WorldStarHipHop.com, as well as on YouTube, but the latter has since removed it due to its “shocking and disgusting” content.

Blazing Stewardesses (yes the name was ripped off to ride the coat tails of Blazing Saddles) was designed to be a "comeback" film for Moe Howard and his "new" Three Stooges featuring himself, Curly Joe DeRita and Emil Sitka (who worked with all the stooges in almost 40 short subjects) as the replacement for Larry Fine. Moe died before filming began so they retooled it to feature The Ritz Brothers.

You can watch a scene featuring the surviving Ritz Brothers below...this is either hit or miss as far as enjoyment since it's one of those 1 star wacky sex romp comedies but if you like what you see it is on disc and you can check out the entire flick over at Amazon by clicking right here.

This is the first Ritz Brothers film from 1934 which prompted the films distributor Twentieth Century-Fox to sign the team to a contract which would turn into a career that lasted until their swan song comeback in 1975 with "Blazing Stewardesses".

As mentioned the team influenced the late great George Carlin however don't expect cutting edge political and social comedy (remember Carlin was also influenced by the song and dance comic Danny Kaye) - it's more a glimpse into the classic days of vaudeville and you can watch it in streaming video below direct from Youtube.

Airing in the late 80's on first run syndication She's the Sheriff was first most notable for the return of Suzanne Somers to television after she walked away from Three's Company. However shortly after it's start to it's cancellation after one and a half seasons it become known as one of the worst comedies around aside from the able work of the under recognized comedic genius George Wyner (who you may remember as sidekick to the Rick Moranis parody of Darth Vader in Mel Brooks' Spaceballs as well as the lawyer for Chevy Chase's ex-wife in the Fletch flicks).

This promo is actually pretty good since it's a scripted comedy piece and not just a clip fest to promote the show.

AfterMASH (a pun on the term aftermath) was written by Mash alumni Larry Gelbart and starred Harry Morgan, Jamie Farr, and William Christopher (the only three cast members to vote against ending the actual MASH series during a cast vote).

This hour long dramady pilot episode was for the half hour series that ran for two seasons on CBS (31 episodes total with 30 aired) until it's cancellation.

wmorrow59 from Imdb: They don't make 'em like this anymore! In fact, they hardly ever made 'em like this in the first place. MILLION DOLLAR LEGS is one of a kind, a truly bizarre comedy with attitude to spare and an otherworldly quality all its own. This is a Flesicher cartoon come to life, full of weird non sequiturs, sassy quips, slapstick violence and sexy dance moves. It's hard to believe that such an off-the-wall concoction was the product of the Hollywood studio system of the '30s; it looks more like something written by Algonquin Round Table wiseacres during a late night, booze-fueled party. The closest cinematic parallel would be the Marx Brothers' DUCK SOUP, made at the same studio (Paramount) by the same producer (Herman J. Mankiewicz) a year later.
