Bumped from network to network, boycotted by Simpsons creator Matt Groening (the only episode of the Simpsons he refused to work on was the episode used to spin off Jay Sherman into his own series) The Critic refused to die.
After being cancelled by Fox, then ABC and after talks of the series returning for a third season on another network failed creators Al Jean and Mike Reiss (producers from the Simpsons) created a series of web episodes hosted on Shockwave.com.

Alan and Al talked about getting to universal health care as fast as possible, the war in Iraq, and other issues. Al also wins Alan's current events/politcs quiz, earning a few well-deserved bell rings.
