W.C. Fields starring in Pool Sharks (1915)

From nuerble over @ archive.org: This is a real gem. Fields made a few silents, but never went over big. It didn't seem to be his medium. But in this first 1915 short he is all there, fully formed, personality, timing, and love/hate relationship with inamimate objects. Plus there is some funny stop motion animation.

Orson Welles & Nikola Tesla - The Creative Process

Youtube:
In memory of Orson Welles 1915 - 1985, and his contribution to the Arts.
In memory of Nikola Tesla 1856 - 1943, and his contribution to science.

This rare film stars Orson Welles and features a dramatic recreation of a meeting between Nikola Tesla, Industrialist J.P. Morgan and Thomas Edison, that would decide the fate and future of today's Electric Power Industry in America and the world.

Nikola Tesla is regarded as one of the most important inventors in history. He changed the world with the invention of the AC (alternating current) induction motor, making the universal transmission and distribution of electricity possible.

Nikola Tesla is regarded as one of the most important inventors in history. He changed the world with the invention of the AC (alternating current) induction motor, making the universal transmission and distribution of electricity possible. So why is he virtually unknown to the general public? Nikola Tesla's contributions to science include the fields of Robotics, Ballistics, Computer Science, Nuclear Physics, and Theoretical Physics. In 1943, the Supreme Court of the United States credited him as being the inventor of the Radio. But what happened to Tesla? See the Movie! Now on DVD.

Along with a bunch of Canadians: John Candy, Rick Moranis, Dan Akroyd, Eugene Levy, and Dave Thomas. He's one of Canada's gifts to comedy in America... Best known for Animal House, Old School, Ghostbusters, and most recently the Trailer Park Boys movie. He's here being inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.

Filmmaker Michael Moore compares U.S. and Canadian health care

Note: As someone with a long term disability I can attest that, although not perfect, the opposing view to Moore's positive stance on Canada's public healthcare system is over exaggerated.

Plus even with it's faults it's still light years ahead of the US private system.

Note that the piece is from Canada's national public broadcaster The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The Yahoo News source is just because the CBC licenses it's news content to them for their Canadian content. The AOL serach video box is just to embed the video on this site. (and remember to look for Moore's new film "Sicko" coming soon to a theatre near you).
