Ralph Nader and John Waters on Sen. Larry Craig's Arrest



Ralph Nader wondered what more wrongs does President George W. Bush have to do in order for the U.S. Congress to remove him from office: "Go to a Minneapolis airport toilet and tap someone's foot in the next stall?" This led to a rejoinder from Baltimore's Iconoclastic film director, John Waters of "Hairspray" fame. The duo were part of a "Symposium on Free Speech" sponsored by the Maryland Institute College of Arts (MICA) and the ACLU's Maryland branch, on September 17, 2007, in Baltimore, MD. There are press reports that the toilet in question at the Minneapolis airport has become "a tourist attraction." Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho), who is noted for championing "family values," pleaded guilty, on June 11, 2007, to "disorderly conduct" as a result of being cuffed by a plainclothes cop who was investigating complaints about lewd conduct in the men's room of the airpor
