You may have seen, or at least heard of, the Mel Brook's early 80's comedy "To Be or Not To Be" that atarred himself and Anne Bancroft however as a remake it can't hold a candle to the 1942 original that starred Jack Benny and Carole Lombard.
Although Benny achieved great success in radio and television he often felt that success in films eluded him throughout his career (being cast in what later became the George Burns role in "The Sunshine Boys" and dying before he could do it is a extreme example of the luck he had) Benmy always felt that "To Be or Not To Be" was one of the best works in his stellar career.
