From 1903: A Chess Dispute by Robert W. Paul

From 1903 it's the earliest comedy I've ever come across and it's by Robert W. Paul - one of the UK's earliest filmmakers and one of (perhaps the first) person to ever make a comedy film.

Sure it's only a minute long, silent and black and white (of course) and the plot is very basic but the historic value of this is remarkable.
