CBC.ca: Now in his fifth decade as a performer, Bob Newhart is a true comedy legend. His debut album, "The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart" became the first comedy album to hit the #1 spot on the sales charts in 1961, and he went on to huge success with his sit-coms "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Newhart" in the seventies and eighties. In recent years, he's appeared on "ER", "Desperate Housewives", and in the film "Elf."

FYI: The pic below is of the Bob Newhart statue in Chicago from his role as Dr. Bob Hartley in "The Bob Newhart" Show.
