He's not dead! I didn't know for sure how he was doing since we've heard so little from him. TVLand really needs to get this guy to do a show for them!

The interview starts at the 20 minute mark.

A triple dose of the lost Bob Newhart sitcom "George and Leo"

Running for one season back in 1997 on CBS it was bounced around the schedule until it was cancelled by the network. It's a shame since it was a bevy of comedic fun starring Newhart and the always enjoyable Judd Hirsch)

Kick back and enjoy three episodes of the lost series from the wonderful Bob Newhart in embedded video direct from Youtube. I've merged all the parts of each episode into a playlist.

Pilot episode

The Thanksgiving Show

The Nanny
(don't worry it's Fran Drescher free - the nanny is actually Julia Sweeney)

His debut album, "The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart" became the first comedy album to hit the #1 spot on the sales charts in 1961, and he went on to huge success with his sit-coms "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Newhart" in the seventies and eighties. In recent years, he's appeared on "ER", "Desperate Housewives", and in the film "Elf."
