Johnny Carson Throws Out Audience Member



As stated by the Youtube uploader it is set up to be "real" (and he appears to think it is) however it's pretty clear that this was a a set up comedy routine with an actor as the audience member.

Youtube: This segment was taped in approximately 1985. To put this into context, Johnny had just moved to a house in Malibu after his divorce from Joanna, his third wife.

In his multi-part oral history interview, Fred de Cordova (1910-2001) talks about about directing for "The Burns and Allen Show" (with George Burns & Gracie Allen), "The George Gobel Show", and "The Jack Benny Program". He also discusses his 22 years producing "The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson". Each part runs approx 30 minutes
