CBS passes on comedy pilots from Conan O'Brien and Louis CK

CBS has passed on pilots they greenlit for Conan O'Brien (in conjunction with Warner Brothers) and Louis C.K.

"Super Fun Night" (Producers: Conan O’Brien, Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, co-executive producer Rebel Wilson) would have followed Rebel Wilson and a group of friends as they try to have "SUPER FUN every Friday night".

The "UNTITLED LOUIS CK/SPIKE FERESTEN PROJECT" from FX's Louie star Louie C.K. and Spike Feresten (writer on Seinfeld and co-creator of the failed Michael Richards Show) would have featured a group of young artists trying to succeed in bad economic times.

Will another network pick them up? Should they? When CBS passed on Ringer last year their sister network made the unusual move in picking up the show however the ratings results have been less than stellar.

Since the CW skews to younger viewers both these shows make it possible they may be interested however they seem to have little interest in comedy generally.

Sean Penn joins Jim Carrey in new Three Stooges movie

The weird thing is it's not a bio pic - it's actually going to be a slapstick comedy in the tradition of The Three stooges from the Farrelly Brothers (There's Something About Mary, Shallow Hal).

To be honest I'm not sure what to think...

UK comic Russell Brand quits BBC after obscene on- aair calls to Fawlty Towers actor about his granddaughter

Click here to watch the coverage via Australia 7 News

Not sure what the hell this is all about? In nutshell Brand and fellow BBC programmer Jonathan Ross left obscene voice mail messages on the phone of UK actor Andrew Sachs (best known for his role as the waiter Manual in the John Cleese classic series Fawlty Towers) regarding sexual relations Ross had with Sach's granddaughter.

If that's not bad enough they did it on air during the Brand's program. If that's not bad enough the episode was actually a pre-taped and it was authorized to air on Oct 18th - which it did. (OUCH!)

So you're wondeirng what the joke is? well here it is:

"Something which has never occurred since time immemorial; a young woman did not fart in her husband's lap,"
